ActiveRain Bouquet of Gratitude ~ Members Who Soar and Take Us With Them!

GiGiI guess I'm just happy lately and find myself living in a state of gratitude about every part of my life. "Absolute Joy" is a term I love to say many times during the day among others.  Gratitude for a beautiful and loving husband who is caring and kind. Grateful for my beautiful and loving companion GiGi, who makes me joyful each and every minute I'm with her. Grateful for a beautiful daughter who is responsible and giving in all she does in life. Grateful for my grandsons and how beautiful they are.

And so with a promise that I would not do another "Members Only" post this weekend and now here I am....what can I say....Joy needs expressing...I guess!

There are so many wonderful bloggers here in the RAIN. If you are new to ActiveRain and do not know these people, you may want to subscribe to their blogs and join the groups they have created and cared for on the highest level. I'll try to provide links that make it easy for you.

They all "Pay It Forward" countless times in sharing their expertise and "how to" technical know how". We have learned so much from so many. And so with gratitude....

ARThe ActiveRain Team and Bob Stewart--gentleman extraordinaire in my book. With a wonderful love of family both on a personal and professional level, he leads the way for the ActiveRain Team and for the level of support we all receive through the gambit of tough issues to celebration of new ideas and solutions for the membership. Constantly maintaining the highest level of service and support on a mega level of complexity and drama, this fine young man rises TALL for us all! Seriously, this man is grounded. I've personally only seen him loose it once and then it was funny! He is made out of solid goodness. He's definitely the man for the job and his team reflects it in all they do! Awesome effort and TEAM! Jonathan please give Bob anything he wants. We like and need him major!

Brad RocksBrad Andersohn--the nicest and smartest guy on the good Earth. Generous to a fault and talented beyond belief. Bob please give him a raise. We never and I mean NEVER want to loose this fine man! Early on Brad was in Title....I think....I'm like reaching way back in time. He was a wonderful blogger and set the standard for informative posts on "how to" and "Paying It Forward". Whenever I had a question as a "Newbie", I always went to Brad's blog to get my answer. I still do. Well, that worked well for Brad and he transitioned into doing what he loved to do.....immerse himself in the ActiveRain world of Social Networking. He became and still is Community Manager and Builder here within the RAIN as a staff member of the ActiveRain Team! How good is that! He so well deserves the good fortune that has come his way and his ability to live doing what he loves. Doesn't get better than that in my book. Thanks Brad for all you do!

TLWBroker Bryant and TLW....ROAR!--The Dynamic Duo for sure. We learn real estate from Broker Bryant and occasionally from TLW but mostly we learn Blogging etiquette from TLW. She teaches us with humor about just plain good manners in the blogging world. She visits us and mentors us and shakes a finger when we screw up. I remember in my earlier days she came over to my blog for a visit and told me that my blog was a mess and that I would have more Readers if my blog didn't go off the screen the way it did. I got busy and fixed it right then and there. Took those silly widgets off and reworked them. She has also been a wonderful coach and supporter on some posts that got rough and tough. We learn here in the RAIN and TLW is our chief Blogger in Charge of Learning and Support. Visit her blog and spend sometime there. You will come to appreciate this wonderful lady. She's got tons of class and a little bit of crap that she talks about. It's all good!  Bryant....well he teaches us everyday about real estate and how those in the know can make it happen. Visit Bryant's Blog and you will learn! I think one of my favorite things about Broker Bryant is that he will now and again say "For Pete sake people....it's only a blog!

AngelSally Cheeseman--has taught me so much about style and grace. She sets the standard for bloggers and the etiquette we live by with her writing and her blog. Ever present in her awareness of the Consumer and how we conduct ourselves in the blogosphere, Sally sets by example an elegant and graceful style of blogging that benefits the community of ActiveRain. Her group has long been an established group where one goes to find solace and inspiration on the highest level. Visit and join the group "Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul" and you always have a place to enjoy a good and positive read!

Thought LeaderMissy Calk--my goodness! What does one say about the nicest lady on the planet. Smart and funny and always there to comment and support. Missy Caulk is the ActiveRain cheerleader with a smile and some great style. I love going to visit her blog for a good read and I always come away with some new thing or idea to implement. She is a "thought leader" within the forum and in our Industry. She rocks!

BalanceLiz Moras--Classy and then Classy again! Wow...have I learned from this sweet lady about composure and the heated debate and how a professional maintains their balanced perspective and peaceful spot within themselves. I think Liz may have had at least in my experience one of the toughest post to manage. She did it with a steady hand and a level of balance and grace that was so admirable. I hope that some day, I will be able to say that I can maintain my center of balance and always respond in the comment stream in an objective and respectful manner. Sometimes we cannot make it come out right and knowing when and where to stop it is always important. I am grateful for my friendship and the opportunity to learn from this lovely lady and fine writer! You will enjoy her blog.

And so with warm feelings of gratitude and appreciation, I am closing out this post for the day. There are so many people that I left out. I think I'll do this on a regular basis. It is good to be grateful for things in life that make us happy and joyful. My ActiveRain Bouquet of Gratitude is full and overflowing!

ActiveRain Bouquet of Gratitude

Here's hoping I get all the links right! Let me know if I miss one! I hope I spelled everyone's name correctly! Nightmare of nightmares!

LANDMARK DECISION PROMISES MASSIVE RELIEF FOR HOMEOWNERS AND TROUBLE FOR BANKS

Yeah! There may yet be hope for Homeowners and the exposure of the govenment bailouts and their true nature. An post came out today from Ellen Brown's Blog on a landmark decision in Kansas that may end up helping homeowners across America. While only valid in Kansas it begins the precedence needed to provide a legal perspective in helping homeowners fight for their homes.

This is a must read and confirms so much that we have learned thanks to Matt Heaton! Here's hoping the first step for massive reform and accountability for the Fed and the banks (criminal investigations) has begun!

We are beginning to see a possible beginning in stabilization of prices. A 2009 review establishes a market trend over time. We can expect to see more foreclosures, short sales and a continued declining trend long term. If you have a real estate need, be aggressive in price and move now. Market value will continue to decline throughout this year and next. We are fortunate to see it slowing in the lower price range. While we see this slowing in the lower price ranges we continue to see market adjustment and declining prices in the higher price ranges.

In a Perfect World ~ The Banks Would See the Truth in Doing Good Business!

I really like Lou Dobbs on CNN. I guess he got in some hot water not too long ago. I can't remember why. He really hit me when we were doing all these bailouts and he continued to talk about how illegal it all was. The one fact that he kept saying over and over again was what that a fraction of the millions being spent could actually go to paying the entire country's mortgages off for each and every person in America. The upswing from people being released from their mortgages would in turn provide an incentive for the economy and turn things around.

Well I am no Economist but I like solutions rather than the act of defrauding the American People of millions of dollars. I have no idea whether such a thing could have really turned things around however it does have to make one wonder that perhaps some unknown number of people in powerful positions don't really want to turn things around for working America. The faucet of wealth building by the few might get turned off and we can't have that.

On another note, one has to wonder where all that money went. The banks are not approving loan modifications and they are getting more aggressive where short sales are concerned. Some banks are doing judicial foreclosures and allowing short sale approvals that require the Consumer to sign for the difference in the loan balance versus short amount as promissory notes. Bank of America leaves it completely open as to how it will be repaid (completely scary). Other banks provides the terms of repayment.

How did we get here? Do we consider that perhaps it was one big plan to defraud the working people of America of even their ability to earn a living and to live a comfortable life. I am beginning to see this thought expressed in various places as if it were a known fact. Is it known fact?

I know it gets complicated and I also know we all had a part in it. But it goes deeper. Products designed to be sold for the cost of the paper and no intention to provide the homeowner with the ability to live with the loan. Where has good business practice gone and the trust of the Consumer. I would say it is a fair assumption that the American People will never trust the banking system again. I won't. I want to own my home out right even if it is just a shack.

My plans for the future include solar energy for my home and a perspective for sustainability and independent living. We are reading and learning everything we can about how to provides for ourselves without the government. Latitude 38 which is a sailing periodical has spoken openly about the revolution and when it will come. I'm starting my revolution now with the intention to become independent. We are digging a well and spending a small fortune to go solar.

In my perfect world....there wouldn't be a bank that I needed to depend on. Big change for sure. Food for thought on this Monday of Mondays!

Redding CA ~ Whiskeytown Lake ~ Boat Parade!

Redding CA ~ Whiskeytown Lake ~ Boat Parade--We always start to head to Whiskeytown Lake here in Redding California for some fall days, cooler weather and fun doing a little boating and watching the sail boats. I started my Boat Parade last year and I'm happy to say that we have had few fires this year and so the air is cleaner and the views more beautiful than ever. So here's sharing our day with you at Whiskeytown Lake.

GiGi's Day at Whiskeytown Lake

The Day starts with GiGi our treasure getting excited about going. She Loves to go to the Lake!

David going for a row...no wind

David going for a row while there is little wind. He did manage to get his sail up and go sailing later in the day. I have photos, however he's just a speck out there so you'll have to take my word that he got some sailing in. In fact the wind came up pretty good and he got out in the middle of the lake and the wind died. He had to use the rudder to scull his way back to shore. Grumbles of bigger boat...here we go again!

Kayaking

Kayaking is lots of fun and allows the groups to explore the coast line and picnic.

Wind in the Sails

Beautiful Tri-maran (sp). Skillful sailer who must race her. Beautiful! I enjoyed watching her all day.

Sailing

Nice little ship making good headway!

Sailing on

The Big Boy just sailed by every boat on the water this day. Great fun watching! You can see the burn area from last summer behind this sail boats!

Redding CA ~ Whiskeytown Lake ~ Boat Parade--Well that's our day at Whiskeytown Lake. It is a must see. Beautiful water and a bit quieter thatn Shasta Lake. Less power boats and we like that.
