There's something pounding at the door. I can hear it and it comes 'round often. I'm busy right now and I know it's knocking but I'll get that door when I can. I have so much to do and that knocking just won't go away. That North wind stirs up the knocking and it gets so loud. If I could only think and do without that knocking. Might as well open that door and let it in. Dang, it has a habit of bringing along new stuff and messing old stuff up. Just when I think I've got it all squared away...there it is again...that knocking. I've opened the door and now everything is a mess. I now have 20 more things to do and 16 things to change. How can this keep happening? Every time that knocking starts, my world goes into a rebirth of cosmic proportions.

It's better now after letting it in. There's no more knocking and the 20 more things to do are all in a list and the 16 things that need changing has begun. It's all quiet once again. Note to Self: Must remember to open that door and answer that knocking sooner.

With the development of the Social Networking world or Web 2.0, we've seen a change that has brought the power to brand down to the individual's level of capability. It is possible to brand and market ourselves and our businesses effectively in a new and powerful way. The playing field has been leveled and that in my humble opinion is a good thing.

Who needs to pay mega bucks to advertising and promotional companies to develop a brand. Years ago we couldn't and so we didn't. All that has now changed. It's really rather exciting to realize just how much power we have in the world of social networking. Let's look as some very strongly carved out brands that have been created by the individuals themselves.

"The Lovely Wife" (Broker Bryant's Wife) The One And Only TLW. (President-Tutas Towne Realty, Inc.)--One brand that comes to mind is a strong one. It is a brand like no other and the owner is very well known here in ActiveRain. It is all about a Lady that walks the talk. She's indelible and a woman of true spirit. She possess major smarts and will never hesitate to take you, the membership or the world, for that matter to task.

She encourages and inspires us all on many levels. Now the evolution of this brand goes back a long time and continues to evolve. It will require an investment on your part to learn about TLW and it will be well worth your time. I remember, thinking who is TLW and why would anyone want to call themselves "The Lovely Wife...ROAR". I'm not sure that even to this day, I can explain it. She has an affinity for cat behavior...hence the ROAR. There's the black leather, the whip and the hat. Well, I think you are beginning to get the idea. It will take some time on your part to decipher this Lady and it will be well worth the investment. She's a one-of-a-kind and they don't come any better. She'll make you laugh and cry all at the same time. The brand...well it works like no other! She's bigger than life and she's played a great part in making ActiveRain a great place.

Paul Slaybaugh is another excellent blogger who's brand is unique. I will be honest that it is hard to adequately speak to your about the brand that Paul has built. It is not a contrived or market brand that we normally see. It's not that brand where someone contemplates what their brand is. For Paul, unlike many of us, his brand has evolved over time and become that of the highly developed level of perfection in writing abilities. Paul possesses the ability to take us out to a new place and to entertain us with his thoughts. He engages us in a world presented to us through such elegant detail. His work is beyond description and I can only encourage all to subscribe and read on a regular basis. Just the contemplation of Paul's thoughts open up the possibilities of changing how you see the world.

He shares with us the world of his private revelations and the beauty of his personal life. It's does not really seem right to call this level of genius a brand and so we won't. We'll just be content to say that we admire this beautiful work. It has changed who we are.

It is the beginning of a new and sweet time when we develop that relationship of trust and mutual respect. It is the beginning and it will be the most important time when we learn about each other.

Summer is the Season of Sustenance and of deep green when roots grow deep into the earth to anchor and quench the thirst for nourishment. Summer to the Realtor is that time when we work to provide the resources that will help our clients find and secure their real estate goals. Through the investment we make to research and markedly know the trending market conditions, we provide the basis for our client's success.

Fall is the Season of change when Nature can hear the call of time and is busy preparing for the coming of Winter. Fall for the Realtor is that time when the transaction is completed and the preparation made for the client to secure their new home.

Life overall is wonderful in all it's glory and the passage of the Seasons are a celebration of life. I've felt a need of late to look for the good in all things. I went through a phase if you will some months ago when all the negative things seem to just bare in on me and I felt stifled and overwhelmed. My husband tends to be a WEB junkie and is out looking always for things that interest him. He is an artist, an engineer and someone who loves to learn. At the same time he invests time in trying to read through the mainstream news media to find some measure of truth. He's always wanting to tell me what it is he finds and there are times after work when having dealt mostly with problems and occasionally something good and positive, I don't actually care to hear some aspect of the world that is not positive.

So in striving to have a focus on the goodness of life and how we live it, I am planning on putting together once a week a showcase of posts and people here in the RAIN that inspire us with their work. The goal will be to focus on those people that are providing us with the "Latest Breaking Good News" and providing us a peek at the very best in terms of business, behavior, balance and fun! Some have been featured and some not. If it has been featured then perhaps you missed it. There is an effort here to recognize steady, constant and solidly good work. It is not about the famous but about "the good"! Not that they are mutally exclusive of each other for sure! It may even been an older post. If we just post about it once again then it becomes "Latest Breaking Good News". No boundaries here other than "goodness"!

I hope you find this uplifting and that you will find a chuckle or two. The goal will be a smile on your face for the day ahead or for the evening to come or perhaps a new idea for a post!

Bob Stewart and Christa Caulk--The Marriage of Bob Stewart and Christa Caulk was the Event of the Year for sure. Brought to us all in live-streaming video, we were invited and allowed to participate in this beautiful ceremony and the joining of two beautiful people in matrimony.

I don't know about you but I've felt more uplifted by seeing these two people and how much in love with each other they are than anything else I can think of. So we are just going to permanently celebrate an event that was completely inspiring on every level conceivable.

Momma Caulk is rather an inspiration on her own! Good things happen for good people! There are more photos on Facebook, however due to the privacy of that environment, I felt I could not share. Celebration Big Time!

Latest Breaking Good News - Focused on Nothing but the Best!

We learn here and we benefit from so many others with generous spirits and knowledge that they share. This is my way of giving back to a forum that has given me so much. It is a good thing!

I only heard the news this morning in the wee hours. I don't know why I clicked on Rich Jacobson's blog this morning....some things just are for a reason and I learned of the death of Laurie Manny yesterday in LA. She was such a strong presence for me here within AR but she also lead me to look outside AR. She was such a giving person. Very smart, very articulate and loaded with style. She had a strong sense of style, strength of character and the courage to stand for her convictions. I so admire people that know themselves well and she did.

My personal interaction with Laurie was with personal emails from her coaching me as a newbie here in ActiveRain. No one else did that. I began my first steps to having an outside blog and she emailed me about the mistakes I was about to make. How generous she was. She shared so much, not just in SEO and blogging but of herself and as a person. She was funny and witty. She was a great lady and I shall miss her so. There are those people that just by the weight of who they are as people make us feel better about life and that was who she was. She will be greatly missed!

In memory of Laurie....it would be such an honor to stand by you, girl! Say hello to John for us all. You will know him well.
