I've wondered why it is that I can describe in heartfelt ways my inner spirit,
but find myself at a loss for someone so dear,
that my heart knows such love but makes no headway with one so dear,
there lies no blame and no shame,
only a desire to share our lives and be together,
we have lost so much and now it seems so sad,
that life does not bring us together to share in love,
no expectations near or far,
only a love so deep and dear,
can offer salvation to us all.
