I just receive this email today from the Awareness Coordinator for Mesothelioma Cancer Center. He was asking me to help spread the word about a possible harmful exposure to Asbestos. The email contained information that I did not know. I wanted to pass it along and I intend to put the information on the front of my websites where I can. This is the letter itself for you to read. Check out their website and Contact Joe to help out their effort to get the word out there.
Hey there- My name is Joe Lederman,
I am the Awareness Coordinator at the Mesothelioma Cancer Center (www.asbestos.com).
Lately I have been reaching out to real estate bloggers in efforts of getting some of our free, unique information published. Your web site seems like an ideal fit.
As you may know, homes built before 1980 likely have asbestos insulation in them. When homeowners remodel, they may expose themselves to asbestos, which could lead to a fatal cancer known as mesothelioma. There are many environmentally sustainable, healthy and GREEN ways to insulate your home and this is among the topics we like to discuss.
We figured it would be a perfect time to educate people on asbestos exposure and related illnesses. If you would be interested in helping out by adding our content or our resource to the blog roll, please let me know. Thank you for all your help, --

That's definitely something to think about before you remodel. Pretty scary! Thanks Jeanean.
Seems like I can't do much in my home with our being exposed to Radon, Asbestos, lead Base Paint, and so much more. Glad to have the information you can't be too careful.
We have some old homes here that have asbestos shingles and advise buyers as to the cost of replacing them if they choose to do so. Good post thanks
Jeanean,
I sold a house the summer which had vermiculite insulation in the attic that had traces of asbestos. We would not go through with the deal unless the owners had all of the insulation removed by a licensed professional company and new insulation put in prior to closing.
