Mount Shasta

This is a favorite spot of ours. We travel up to Mount Shasta each fall to celebrate the Fall Equinox. There are only few months when Mount Shasta allows you to see the Mountain without his clothes (snow). You can still see a few patches down along the ridge and a bit lower. This is a very intimate place with the Mountain and you can feel the power of the environment. The trees are magnificent and I call them "The Soldier Forest".

What a great photo!  I have'nt been up to Mt. Shasta in years-- and never in the winter.  It is just breathtaking!  Thanks for the photo-  Kathy
