I often times tell my clients that it is not one single thing we do but all the things we do that result in getting a home sold. Today's market is a hard market and a trending market that is changing constantly. It takes Real Estate Agents that are prepared for those changes. It is a blend between using technology and out-bound marketing effectively along with traditional marketing and communication.
If I had to identify the one critical component of real estate, it would be communication. Effective communication is so critical today and remains one of the hardest tasks we have. Helping our clients understand the dynamics of this market remains our biggest and most important hurdle.
Social networking for me has helped me provide my clients with a repository of information and knowledge to help guide and educate them in making right choices in this changing and trending market. It affords me the opportunity to communicate clearly the trending conditions of our current market. In this instance, I am talking about blogging and not other social networks. The ability to establish a knowledge repository of posts that address and provides guidance, offers for me overwhelming value compared to the viral nature of other social networks.
The compelling aspect about my marketing and communication, is that it hits home with the clients I specifically want to work with and target market. If you are a Seller who does not understand the need to know your market value and price accordingly, then I can't help you. You will not be effective in this market.
Honesty with my clients has become my number one goal. It is my responsibility to help those people that are prepared to deal with the current market reality and not harm those that are not.
When condition, price and availability don't come together, we don't have a business proposition. If Real Estate Agents evaluate the business proposition on a purely analytical basis and be prepared to defend that proposition with their clients, their business will be selling houses and not just listing and marketing houses. Don't take the listing if you cannot sell it. You are wasting valuable time and resources both for you and your client. You owe it to yourself and your clients.
Investing in blogging good and accurate information and knowledge about this trending market is an activity that benefits the Consumer and the Real Estate Agent. It will allow you to target market and will provide you the business you desire. Knowledge is everything in this business and helping the Consumer is the heart of it all!
