Being a Realtor is a passage. We begin a relationship with a phone call and through information, knowledge and guidance, we help our clients through a transaction to the culmination of a goal. Just as the Seasons come and go, we also experience a cycle and passage with our clients.
Spring is the Season of Rebirth when life is bright with the green of a new cycle of life. As a Realtor we know the Springtime essence of getting to know our client and learning about their goals. It is the beginning of a new and sweet time when we develop that relationship of trust and mutual respect. It is the beginning and it will be the most important time when we learn about each other.
Summer is the Season of Sustenance and of deep green when roots grow deep into the earth to anchor and quench the thirst for nourishment. Summer to the Realtor is that time when we work to provide the resources that will help our clients find and secure their real estate goals. Through the investment we make to research and markedly know the trending market conditions, we provide the basis for our client's success.
Fall is the Season of change when Nature can hear the call of time and is busy preparing for the coming of Winter. Fall for the Realtor is that time when the transaction is completed and the preparation made for the client to secure their new home.
Winter is the Season of quiet and when Nature grows dormant in preparation for the coming of Spring and a new cycle to occur. Winter for the Realtor is that time when you maintain the relationship with follow up care and continued service. It may be the sharing of events or just news of real estate.
And so the cycles of life are completed, year after year and the Realtor experiences the Seasons of Change on a perpetual basis. As we work with our clients, we experience a rare and wonderful opportunity to support our clients in the same way that Nature supports the life cycle. Life overall is wonderful in all it's glory and the passage of the Seasons are a celebration of life. Our work can also be a celebration as we help our clients through a transaction, we have the opportunity to set in motion a bond that will be a lasting relationship. Just as the cyclces of life are a rhythm of life so is the work of a Realtor.

What a colorful way to describe our relationship cycle with clients. Thanks for posting Jeanean!
Jeanean - what a beautifully written post. I love the analogy, and have tagged it for a feature.
This is definitely feature material -- what an absolutely excellent analogy. I truly enjoyed reading this; thank you so much.
What a great post and so well written. Everything has seasons including our lives. We are in the great winter right now of the fourth turning www.fourthturning.com These are amazing times and times with great opportunities. And everyone knows that spring comes after winter.
Very lovely Jeanean. I concur with Tish - this should be a feature! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Carla, thank you for coming in on this. We traveled to Burney today for a new short sale listing which is about 1 hour away from Redding in to elevation of about 3500 feet. I could feel the change of seasons and it had me being contempative. We are so in-tune with the Seasons in all ways. I could feel it today in a strong measure. Thanks for coming to comment and for the visit.
Jackie, thanks for the nice compliments. Just speaking from the heart today which seems to have a mind of it's own. Thanks for the visit and nice compliments!
Hello Tish, you are kind and thank you so much for your encouragement. I like the analogy as well. I do see our work in this perspective and live by the analogy. I do firmly believe that a life of harmony requires our consciousness to be at peace with the world. I only want to work with those that seek a realiable source of information and knowledge. We must deliver and own the ability to consult on a local and national market basis. Thanks for coming in to validate this premise.
Hello Mary, life is what we make it and in this post my aspirations were to express that we have a deep connection with our client when we do good work. Just as we count on the Seasons to alert of what we must do, so does the cycle of client service and connection. Thank you for validating this concept.
Hello Paula, did you see that you were featured in "Latest Breaking Good News". As far as I am concerned you will be a constant contributor. Hope you are well!
Great metaphor. I love it. And, yes, different tasks for each season. I'm going to reapply this concept to my business. Thank you for making me think differently.
Debbie, that is the nicest compliment. Thank you for stopping by for the read and visit. You already apply the concept, I am sure.
Lovely, simply lovely, Jeanean. You have such a gift for insight and sharing those thoughts through your beautifully written prose. Thank you for allowing us to read this.
Hello Elizabeth, thanks for the stop by. We were traveling up to Burney and the seasonal change is beginning. We had rain and I felt very keenly aware of the changes that are coming. I particularly like the changing of the seasons. I'm ready for Fall and all the good things it brings. Looking forward to Halloween. Thanks again for stopping by.
Jeanean - WONDERFUL POST!!!!!
Blake
This was absolutely beautiful, Jeanean! Congrats on the well-deserved feature...
Beautifully written....changing seasons...changing times...it's all in a life's work.
HI Jeanean -- Great analogy and there are many similarities. I try to continually remind myself how excited, stressed, etc., I was when I purchased my first home and I try and embed this sense of competency and foresight with each and every client, as it truly is a privilege and honor to represent a client and become a part of their lives during one of their most important decisions of their lives.
Blake, thanks for the stop by and read. I do appreicate it.
Kerry, thanks for the kind words. It was my mood of the day. I appreciate the read and nice comments.
Hello Sally, nice to see you and it always is. This would be your kind of post. Hope you are well.
Hello Chris, Thanks for coming in on this and adding value. It is a privledge place we hold with our clients. They have to place great trust in our work. The things we count on in life that are good can only inspire us in this work we do as Realtors. It's hard work but like Nature, it is renewing in and of itself. Thanks for an engaging comment.
Thanks for the commentary. Living in Houston, we don't get the change of seasons much, unless you count the hot, humid changing to just hot. For a moment there, I felt a bit of fall in the air!
fall (for us) is a time of harvesting new listings that will sell to serious or relocating clients in winter or early spring:) just IMHO Jean - great post
sincerely
grace
Thanks Jeanne, for a funny comment. We have a similar season here in Redding. In fact, I believe that my overwhelming feeling of appreciating the Seasons comes from a shorter Spring and Fall season. We only get about 2-4 weeks of Fall and Spring. Probably why I felt so strongly about my connection to seasons. You were funny with hot humid changing to just hot. I rather know what you mean! Funny! I like funny!
Hello Grace, thanks for coming in on this post. Our connection to our clients is all inclusive...that's for sure and so however we view our rhythmic cycle, the main thing is our connection to our clients. Thanks for stopping by and your visit. It is so nice to hear from you. Hope you are well!
This is a nice analogy for the different "seasons" we spend with our clients in our business.
