JEANEAN:  It's funny that you imagine places in one way, and then through this community, you come to find that the picture in your mind was incomplete.  I never thought about California having this kind of landscape.  It reminds me of upstate New York.  I imagine that a lot of people that haven't been to New York think of it only as skyscrapers and congestion.  Thanks for sharing this new perspective.

Wow!  Jeanean, if you bought one of these places then had touble paying the mortgage, you could lease it out to some film company to produce a western!  They pay big bucks for that.

All kidding aside, your phots are spectacular and really give a feel for the place.  Thanks for the tour!

Jeanean:  I lived in Sacramento for a couple of years and my brother has been there since the 80's.  I went in 1997. Redding is north but along the way we used to go to Roseville Auction. Is that still there?  I bought some depression glass :)

I looked at your other post with the residential view to the mountains...you have gorgeous scenery too!

Adam, thanks for commenting. I know that New York has some beautiful country as well. I really do like our area and we moved to Redding because of the market and that it was still rather "Open Country" compared to the rest of California. I think a lot of Californians that don't want to leave California when they retire will be coming our way. Thanks again for commenting!

Patricia, thanks for commenting. We do live in a beautiful area. My husband is a professional photographer and does photo art and so he has endless work to do up here. We really love combining real estate and photo shoots!

Sally - I am so tickled that you lived in Sacramento and that your brother is still there. You might come for a visit....how cool would that be. Roseville is East of Sacramento (I think) and I have not been to the Auction up there. We do have an estate auction here in Redding each month and we sometimes go. I collect "Depression Glass". I have a whole set of Anchor Hocking (gosh is that correct) "blue bubble" glassware. How funny! We are to the north of Sacamento and only about 2 hours away. I am not quite sure of what the equivalent of our "Aloha" would be other than a heartfelt welcome, but we'll plan something big if every you get this way. How wonderful would that be.

Jeanean: And the same Aloha would extend to you if you ever come our way as well!
