I grew up in Redding.  I went to grade school at Buckeye Elementary, 9th grade at Nova and graduated Shasta High in 1972.  I have fond memories of that place... Woolworths and Payless before the downtown mall was even built, Cascade Theater, Genes Drive In and their 29 cent hamburgers, feeding the deer at Shasta Dam.  We had a houseboat on Shasta Lake.  Whiskeytown Lake was great place to fish and swim.  And the view of Mount Shasta was to die for.  My folks had a view of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen from their home.

Jon, I would have loved to know Redding then. I know it is great to take a trip down memory lane. If you every get back up here, look me up. It has changed and is expected to grow and double in size in the next ten years. I did research and chose Redding because it should be a sustainable market.
