Learning in the Rain ~ The Good Thing Is It Never Stops!

flowersI love learning. My life has been one big long learning curve. How right it that? Learning individuals are dedicated to the art of learning in every aspect of their life. It is such a good thing. I think about ActiveRain often and how much it has changed my life in positive ways. I am a better Realtor. I've always been a good Realtor, but the exposure to the top of my field on a daily basis is a second derivative for learning and improvement for sure. I am more aware and sensitive to privacy issues for my clients and in my writing I am careful to protect all.

I wrote a post the other night about my frustration on an escrow and I found myself quite boxed in on what I could share and what I could not. That is a good thing that my awareness has grown and that I am more sensitive in every capacity of the fiduciary responsibility I carry for my clients and the high standards of our profession.

Each time a read a post by a good Realtor or Real Estate Agent and the writing of the post is compelling, I am changed. I have grown in so many ways. My writing comes from many places, but mostly it is inspired by the membership here in the RAIN. I learn every single day, some new perspective or idea that makes me better at what I do. I am owning more and more my responsibility to be a conscious blogger and to take on a larger responsibility for blogging responsibly. I am very proud to be a member of ActiveRain and I'll be working hard to measure up!

Jeanean,

One of the greatest contributions of AR to its members is the learning aspect. There is so much info on mortgages, real estate markets, Internet marketing, personal improvement etc., just simply a deep well at your use.

Jeanean, This place is a wealth of information and inspiration. Having been amember for 18 months I am a far better Broker than I was before. And not only from what I have learned from others but from what I have learned about myself by writing about what I do. This place is awesome!!!

I couldn't agree more.  My favorite part of AR is the ability to gather information and opinions from across the nation.

Jeanean...

I have turned into a walking encyclopedia as a result of this place.

Not to mention the fact it gives me a place to mouth off :)

P.S. I failed the human test. I wonder if I should be concerned about that :)

TLW...ROAR!

Hi Jeanean,  I agree!  I love tooling around the different groups and finding topics I had never dreamed of myself.  Learning is living!  Cheers, Harley

Jeanean - Just about everyday I'm able to quote some information that I learned from AR that's relevant to a situation I'm encountering.  Even though we have so many regional and local professional differences there are endless ways that we connect and learn from one another in the RAIN.  It's an amazing resource.

Jeanean  - Very nice post!  I find AR to be a phenomenal tool that I use and learn from daily - probably more than any other I have available to me in this business.

Esko, I so agree....and it continues to amaze me. Thanks for commenting!

Bryant, your point is good. I do learn about myself, as well. I can't really imagine going back to being without AR.

TLW, we have a lot of fun here in the RAIN too....LOL seems to be good for me! I don't think you could fail the human part....you are too good at that part and helping us all acknowledge those human aspects on all topics! You are the guardian for the RAIN!

Trey, thanks for stopping by for a read and commenting.

Harley, great way to say it. Thanks for commenting.

Lynn, me too. I know the people I work with get tired of me talking about AR, but I can't help myself. It's just so darn cool!

I say when an agent stops learning, she or he may as well throw themselves head first into that cemetery plot they bought and forget about life.

Total agreement!  I start by wanting to scream about something and then it forces me to write diplomatically and in turn, I act that way too!  Great blog!
