My husband and I are artists and we love planning our free time to see art exhibits and the performing arts. We are fortunate here in Shasta County to have an active Arts Council to sponsor and manage the schedules of events for the Art Experience in Shasta County.
The Shasta County Arts Council, working to bring artists and the community together for the opportunity to enliven the Arts here in Shasta County promotes many acitivites:

The council holds the old historic City Hall as the home for the council and the center for many of these activities. The current schedule for the Old City Hall Peformance Hall are:
- First Sunday: Dave Short's Jass at Old City Hall
- Second Friday: Performing Arts Society Classical Concerts
- Third Friday: Traveling Bohemian's Open Mic
- Third Satruday: Redding Improv Players
