It's not easy being green. Kermit was so wise and it is so true in a worldly way. We come to know in our daily experience the wisdom in these simple phrases that make up the rich fabric of our lives.
It's not always easy to maintain the highest level of conduct and performance. What is it that helps us to hold onto that level of patience, respect and professionalism that being a Realtor requires?
The complexity of what we do is rather amazing to me. Top producing Realtors or Real Estate Agents are a dynamic and diverse group of very skilled and knowledgeable people.
We are on an expert level with:
- real estate application skills,
- sleuthing skills,
- technology skills,
- customer service skills,
- relationship building skills,
- negotiation skills,
- high standards and value systems,
- eithical conduct and commitment, and a
- dedication to offering the highest level of knowledge and service in the real estate industry.
Oh and don't forget that we are entrepreneurs engaged in business development and performance improvement. The load is heavy to say the least.
My point here is simply the afore mentioned imformation forms the basis of our business and provides us the platform to be of service to our clients. This base is important and certainly critical to our ability to perform and provide knowledgeable service to our clients.
The real importance of what we do, however is the kind care and execution of perfect service to help our clients in their goals. The elements of this service are to be available, to listen and understand the critical factors that are being communicated and to provide solutions and knowledge for understanding and partnering for a smooth transaction. Each phone call is important and every single detail requires the attention and care at the highest level.
From the beginning of writing the offer and establishing the conditions, terms, strategy for acceptance to the inspections and negotiation of repairs to closing and finally handing over those keys on the given day of COE. Those details with each one requiring constant vigilance and diligence are the critical factors and elements of that high level of service we aspire to. Throughout this whole complex transaction we hold high the COEs and our fiduciary responsibility to protect and serve the highest and best interests of our clients.
We do good work and we feel good when we finally are able to "HAND OVER THOSE KEYS TO THAT NEW HOME AND SEE OUR CLIENT'S APPRECIATION! GETTING THAT HUG IS EVERYTHING TO ME!
That hug is the reason behind all this complexity and commitment to providing the highest level of service I can concieve of!
It's all good, being green....oh a Realtor...I mean!

Jeanean: I have to agree with Leesa. Your words hit the nail right on the head. Add journalist to your list of professional skills.
Leesa, thanks for commenting and saying such nice things. It's nice to write about how hard we all work and to validate what we do.
Chris, thanks for commenting and validating this profile I built. I think it fits us all well!
Hi Jeanean: Not to mention what goes on behind the scenes that clients never know about because we take care of the problems that crop up before they ever escalate.
And yes, with regards to your other post, when you come to Sacramento, give me a day or so heads up. We'll go to lunch!!
