The Prestigious Redding's Westside ~ Panorama ~ Views and More Views!

The Westside as it is referred to is that part of Redding that rises in altitutde and snuggles up to the Western Mountain Ranges that are to the West of Redding. The topography rises a couple hundred feet and you have gently rolling hills that afford homes wonderful views. We have some of our most prestigious homes atop these hills and you can see why. The views are phenomenal and leave one feeling as if you are at peace with the world and just watching it all go by! Come for a visit and we'll show you around our fair city and introduce you to the Westside of Redding and all that it has to offer.

Jeanean - Wonderful shots of Redding! I drove threw Redding one month ago and had to take a detour because 299 was closed. I was headed to Ruth Lake towards Fortuna to look at some land.

Have the fires quited down? Was there a lot of damage to homes off of 299? I really love the Redding area and everything west all the way to the Ocean. I am so jealous because your there and I'm here in Las Vegas.

 Thanks for the post!

Hello Lynda....thanks for the visit. I like to come visit you, as well. Localism is my favorite part about the RAIN....I learn lots....but showing our wonderful area is the most fun!

Robert, thanks for commenting. The fire stopped at 299. The firemen lit a back lit that fire to help contain the fire and control it from going over 299. It worked. There is one hill that burned and you can see from the 299 and from Whiskeytown Lake, but considering....we feel fortunate. Well....think about moving here...I can help you! I have to say visiting Las Vegas is okay...but I don't know about living there. Actually, I have friends that have moved there and the outer areas are nice and they never go to the "Strip". I don't if it's called that any more. We were there not long ago for our GMAC convention and I loved the Bellagio!
