My husband and I met with fellow Rainer, Rick Goates on Friday at our fave coffee shop for some coffee and chat. We had never met and so is struck me that in one way we work side by side here in the Rain and yet we'd never met. I wrote a post not long ago about Rick and that we should meet. I sent him an email about link love on the way, and he emailed and called and we met this last Friday.
We throroughly enjoyed our time together. We three, being myself and David (my husband) and Rick are all technology enthusiasts and we also share an interest in video. Rick has a background in video and he's been watching the prices get more and more reasonable and a desire to start doing video.
Well, a coffee chat turned into an hour + and we had the nicest time and we have a new friend. It's so funny to see someone all the time and know them through their posts.....but so much nicer to meet them in person. We shared every thing we know about video.....which is not very much.....still heavily into the learn curve on that subject.....be we endeavor. So if you don't know Rick Goates, then visit his blog and enjoy. He's a very nice person!
Love the sailboat shirt!

That is awesome and you have inspired me to check out rainers in my area and see who they are and if I can meet them.
GReat... More should try to coordinate efforts to meet face to face.... In Northern NH the Lady RE agents try to get together at least 4 times a year from all offices for a girls night out. We do crazy things relax and build friendships which helps all of us in our business . Hat's off to you for making the effort! Diane
hi Jeanean,
It looks like you and David had a lovely meeting with Rick and I'm glad you had the opportunity to get together....I'm going to try and organize a get-together for some ARers in southern Ontario over the coming months.

I've just recently met many Rainers in person and it is a fabulous experience. Conversation is easy because the common ground has already been established. I'm glad you had such a great time!
