Yaks is an institution here in Redding. It's our fave coffee shop and place to meet for lunch. They are unique and call me back in time with art and a esoteric feel and look. While I'm there for coffee or lunch, I'm always lookin' round at the artwork or the cool things they have for sale and never once am I thinking about business or worrying about just plain ole anything! I like to do things and visit places that have that effect on me.
They have combined an interesting set of markets for their business. The sell awesome coffee and tea drinks and I mean AWESOME! They sell yummy breakfast eats also. They sell potery and artwork. They display some of the best art in Redding and they combine catering with meeting room facilities. Great combination in our area. They are always hustlin' and bustlin' when we are there. We had the best pumpkin muffin.....to die for!
Yaks is just so cool....they sell pottery and local art work.
There are the most comfy setting areas to chat and visit or have coffee and read the paper or your good book. Students come here to study with WiFi.
Tables at one end allow for meetings and greetings!
This is where the majic happends. Al sorts of good drinks and eats come from the heart of Yaks....yummy!
This is where you wait for you coffee or tea drink as it's being made.
Here is a beautiful mural that sets the tone and mood for me each time I come in. Everything just goes away and I like that a lot!
This Antique Coffee Roaster is a trip and quite unique as is Yaks. You can Rock Out at Yaks cuz they just plain ROCK!

Nothing better than a great cup of coffee in the morning; well, perhaps four of five of them.
Sincerely

I don't even drink coffee and Yaks looks so good I might have to pick up the habit. I love the walls! ~Rita
Looks like a nice place to relax or meet someone. We don't have much around here.
That is one very artsy, fun looking coffee shop. I could hangout there for awhile in the morning - no problem :-)
Jeanean,
I only drink decaf now however I wouldn't be able to survive without my morning coffee.....
YAKS looks like my kind of place....very warm and inviting!
