I love Lake Redding Park and Caldwell Park. They are the heart and center of the beauty of Redding. I actually just plain love Redding and Shasta County for that matter. We've always got somewhere to go and something to do that is of interest and includes beauty. Lake Redding sits on right on the Sacramento River and provides that perfect place to get near the water and take a stroll are sit and enjoy a picnic and get your fill of the water. I've always loved being near the water and need it now and again. This is one of our favorite places and it has many things artist love to look at photograph, sketch, paint or just groove on....dating myself here!
Lake Redding is located right off Market Street and Quartz Hill Rd.
I think I love the Train Tressle more than anything. Someday soon I'm going there with my sketch pad for a future oil painting. It's forming in my oversized brain.
This Pavillion is available for parties and family gathering. Very pictureque.
Walk along the river and sit a spell. It doesn't get much better than this. My dog Ginger loves this walk and sit exercise. She gets to smell all the doggie internet smells here in this spot.
Can't help myself with this Trestle....it calls to me. Some would think it ugly....but I love it!
Picture perfect is the essense of Lake Redding and Caldwell Park.
Other spots are green and beautiful. There's plenty of room for picnics and playing ball.
